ZTF Summer School – August 24-27, 2015

Any of our group of undergraduates at the Summer Undergraduate Astronomy Institute are welcome to attend the Summer School for ZTF – offered at Caltech during August 24-27, 2015. The Summer School is designed for advanced undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs interested in doing research with ZTF. A set of Python notebooks are the focus of hands-on work with ZTF and PTF datasets, and a broad range of science projects are presented.

The Institute is open to undergraduates like yourselves, and if you are interested you are welcome to join. There are a mix of talks from science teams, technical teams, and others, and a set of hands-on Python exercises in solar system astronomy with PTF, light curve construction (including the Lomb-Scargle technique), case studies of variable stars in M31, and cataclysmic variables and lots more.
