Mount Wilson Resources

This site gives some advanced guidance for our Mount Wilson observing. We will be using the 60″ telescope – the site where Edwin Hubble and others discovered the expanding universe, and Harlow Shapley first measured the positions and distances to globular clusters, giving us a picture of the location of the sun relative to the center of the galaxy!

Our group will be able to choose targets, and to take photos both using their eyepieces and a T-ring adaptor for Canon DSLR cameras. It should be great.

The guides below give more information to help us plan our observing.
